My Love for Nutrition

I have had a passion for nutrition since I was pretty young. It was sparked the second I was able to help someone. To be more specific, my mother. She was having very bad physical reactions during the night. She was diagnosed with GERD and put on medications. This resulted in her lip swelling due to a reaction to the medication. She became very frustrated after years of being falsely diagnosed.

It hurt me to see my mother having such a hard time so I was determined to help her figure out what ailed her. By keeping track of days with and days without a reaction I was able to analyze her eating patterns between them. I deduced that she may have an intolerance to corn. It has been over 10 years now with very few reactions after eliminating corn from her diet. The research I put into corn intolerance fueled my desire to understand the human body and its relationship with food.

Now, on social media platforms I create content on health, nutrition, fitness and eczema healing. Some topics include "dear diary" eczema stories, how to boost your metabolism, and full body workouts. I have been creating content  since 2015 and have loved every minute of it. The best moments are when I get the chance to chat with someone one on one after my content has helped them in some way.

I use my instagram account to connect to others with eczema. I create healthy meals based on a low salicylate, whole foods diet. I am pescatarian so some of the dishes include fish with vegetables on the side. I am gluten free, dairy free, and refined sugar free. I love experimenting in the kitchen to come up with unique dishes. I especially love to bake healthy treats like these donuts:

These are vegan, gluten free blueberry donuts. Check out more of my posts below.
